KILLSWITCH ENGAGE will be kicking off an Australian tour on October 22 in Perth. "Hot damn, are we STOKED to go back to Australia!!" the band's bassist, Mike D'Antonio, writes on the group's web site. "We are gonna ride us some kangaroos, for freakin' SURE. After that... my favorite place on Earth: JAPAN. (Ah, Japan, it has been too long baby, how have you been?). Land of TOFU, technology and TOYS. In the immortal words of our new tour manager Jimmy Perlman, 'If you ain't a robot in Japan, I don't want to talk to you.' Then the [Taste of Chaos] tour flies to our home away from home the U.K.! Quorn burgers = Exciting. Last but not least, the tour finishes up in GERMANY, not the greatest place for vegetarians, but good times nonetheless. Can't wait to rock out one last time this year... come join us (good times to follow)."
As previously reported, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's forthcoming "(Set This) World Ablaze" DVD will hit stores November 22 via Roadrunner. The disc will feature live footage captured by director Lex Halaby (MUDVAYNE, CHIMAIRA) during the band's July 25 gig at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts. Photos from the DVD shoot can be found at HeavyMetalSource.com. Special guests at the show included AS I LAY DYING and ONCE BELOVED.
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE were part of the second-stage lineup at this year's Ozzfest supporting their sophomore Roadrunner Records release, "The End of Heartache", which has sold close to 375,000 copies in the United States. On March 1, the album was re-released as a special two-disc version with six new/live tracks.
